A lap Afghan that one of our ladies crocheted for Veterans. We have a very active Service to Veterans Committee. The afghans are distributed to veterans in Senior and Assisted Living homes around Cedar City.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We also support the Women’s Issues Committee by donating to St. Martha’s Baby Basket Project and the Women’s Shelter on a regular basis. Below is our latest collection for the Baby Basket Project.\u00a0 These baskets go to women who have just delivered babies at the local hospital and have absolutely nothing to bring them home in.<\/p>\n

Cedar City Mayor Green signs our Constitution Week Proclamation.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Constitution Week is a big week for us as we do a proclamation to sign with the mayor and post it in our display case at the library and also we take constitutions to all the fifth grade classes locally and hand them out with a test which the teachers seem to like.\u00a0 This year we handed out about 900+ constitutions.<\/p>\n

At the 2023 4thof July Parade having way too much fun dressing up and presenting our float.\u00a0 We actually took 1st Place.\u00a0 So much fun.\u00a0 This is the Commemorative Events Committee.<\/p>\n

We are set up and ready for the Ceremony at Bryce Canyon.\u00a0 What an amazing and emotional experience.\u00a0 The stories the New Citizens relate give us a brand new appreciation and love for our country that it seems we can often take for Granted.<\/p>\n

This is part of the Americanism Committee Activities.\"\"<\/p>\n

We are at Bryce Canyon for the Naturalization Ceremony ready to welcome the new Citizens to our great country.<\/p>\n

We often make blocks for the local QOV group called Patches4Patriots\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0We are happy to work with the local QOV chapter and this is our latest quilt ready to go.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We work with Wreaths Across America covering Cedar City, Enoch, Summit, Paragonah and Escalante which the city of Escalante just took over.\u00a0 Our Regent presented an award to our Treasurer,\u00a0 who has been instrumental in growing the Chapter’s and local city leaders’ participation in the Wreaths Across America program.<\/p>\n

In addition to these committees, we participate in the Flag of the United States Committee, Conservation Committee, National Defense and the America 250.\u00a0 We are actively welcoming new members and would love to chat with you.\u00a0 We are a small but very active and committed group of ladies.\u00a0 \u00a0Most of the time it is all hands on deck but we have our team work down to a science.\u00a0 I am sure there is something here that speaks to you or awakens a passion that you have never had time to indulge.\u00a0 Now is the time.\u00a0 It is never too late to begin a wonderous and fulfilling project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
