Mrs. Harriet Wetmore Sells settled in Utah in 1873. She is a Real Daughter, meaning her father, Bela Wetmore, fought in the American Revolution from the age of 16 until the end of the war in 1783. Harriet was married to Elijah Sells.
She was a member of the Spirit of Liberty Chapter, NSDAR, that was established in 1897 with Harriet Sells as its first regent. The Spirit of Liberty Chapter disbanded in 1976.
